Godot Workflow
Open the full generator from the Tools menu. For quicker passes, right-click folders or generated clips in the FileSystem panel.
Setup Guide
Install the addon, connect your API key, and start generating from either the dock or the FileSystem panel.
Install the addon
Get it from the Godot Asset Library, or copy addons/foley_ai into your project.
Enable the plugin
Turn it on in Project Settings > Plugins to unlock the dock and tools menu.
Create your API key
In the Foley AI web app, open API Keys and click Create API Key.
Connect Godot
Paste the key into the Foley AI panel, or set foley_ai/api_key in project settings.
Generate and iterate
Use Tools > Foley AI > Open Generator, or right-click in FileSystem and choose Foley AI/Generate....
Output: Defaults to res://audio/foley_ai, and Quick Generate starts in the selected FileSystem folder.
Variations: Hidden .foley.json sidecars restore the original prompt and settings later.
